In 2003 I had my first stroke at the age of 51 after living a healthy lifestyle(or so I thought). I've been in extreme pain due from the aftermath of the stroke and from several really bad falls. I had resigned myself to the life of a recluse and not participating much in anything. Then three months ago my husband whose always trying to find something to help make my life a little better. When he came across Dr. Colberts books, "The Keto Diet" and "Let Your Food Be Your Medicine". It took him a month to convince me to try it because the skeptic inside me decided that there was no way this was going to work......Boy was I ever wrong, I have just completed my seventh week of living and eating my way to good health. After going through both books, "The Keto Diet & Let Your Food Be Your Medicine"....We focus on the things Dr. Colbert suggested for me to do to relieve me of my pain. So I went on a very strict version taken from the two books. The first few days were difficult but it was only mind over matter plain and simple. After week one I noticed that my pain was reduced dramatically. I have stuck to the regimen to the letter just as Dr. Colbert described. I am now at the end of week seven and I feel like an absolute new man. I've went from someone who was living each day waiting for my life to end with no promise before me.
