I inherited a handwritten recipe book from my Mother. The recipes were hers plus some came from family members and friends. My best guess is that these dated from the eary 1900's or before. Some of the old recipes may be hard to follow. How would you measure a handful of flour or a scoop of sugar? Or even a 5 cent can of chocolate syrup.
